I think I’ve fallen a little bit in love with Emma Parker.
In a series of cross stiches, Emma’s ‘Stich therapy’ project executes how she feels through sewing. I like it so much because it’s so honest.. and the juxtapostition (now that’s an art student prat word I know but it is necessary) of the sentiment against the prettiness of the stitching. It’s good.
Sometimes we do feel like we hate the world. What better way than to write it down though cross stitch so that it’s there, but slightly sarcastic. It say’s I’m fine, I’m patient, but the words say otherwise.
